School Visits

Wirraminna has over 2000 primary school children visit it annually, from schools throughout the region. It is a community/volunteer run facility however the NSW Department of Education and Training currently supports the visits by school groups by providing two days a week staffing support. Enquiries can be made via the contact section of this website.

Click here to access the School Resources section which has a wealth of activities and information to download before you visit. Also avaliable to download is our Offer to Visit document and Risk Assessment document for school groups.

Community Visits

We have large number of community groups as well as the general public visiting Wirraminna each year. The Discovery and Learning Centre (pictured below) is available for meetings and workshops. We have chairs and tables to cater for events of around 30 people. The park is open all year round to the general public however the Discovery and Learning Centre has restricted openings.

For your convenience, we have available a laptop computer that is hard-wired to a tv Plasma screen, with a connecting dvd player. We also have available a portable tv with built-in video player.

If you require catering for your event, the Red Cross are available for catering needs. For morning tea the cost is around $5-$8 per person and for a light lunch $10-$12 per person. Tea and Coffee making facilities also available at the centre.

If you would like to book the centre to hold your next event, the day hire fee is $50.

Self guided walks are available of the award winning bushland reserve or group tours can be arranged.
